It’s been 3 years since we began reimagining accounts and identity on Shopify, but our time is coming to an end. While not the outcome we hoped for, it’s our path.
We built an elite team of 9, acquired 250+ of the best Shopify Plus brands, drove 10,000,000+ customers to create accounts, and integrated 30+ of the most popular apps inside a single user experience.
But our favorite accomplishment: We changed how all of ecommerce thinks about accounts.
“Signed-in shopping” is a shared vision and fundamentally a new way for customers, brands, agencies, and apps to view the shopping experience.
When asked about “signed-in shopping”, the best description was always a question: “How would you build a website if 100% of sessions were signed-in?
This vision and this question are the most important things we leave behind. We’re excited to see where you take it from here.
